Allestimento Rocca 

La cittadina di Castell’Arquato situata nella Provincia di Piacenza, è famosa per il suo borgo antico medievale. Nella parte alta la Rocca Viscontea domina il paesaggio. Alla fine degli anni novanta del Novecento è stata fatta un’azione di risanamento. Il restauro ha permesso di ripristinare le parti murarie, e gli spazi interni. Sono stati valorizzati questi ultimi, con una veste espositiva a carattere didattico multimediale, sulla vita nel Medioevo.

ROCCA VISCONTEA e ALLESTIMENTO
Per la Rocca Viscontea l’intervento ha visto un nuovo riordino per le parti murarie e per gli spazi interni. Un tempo adibita a guarnigione militare, la Rocca con il suo ponte e fossato ha visto nei secoli vari mutamenti. La parte interna, spoglia e con spazi senza reperti d’epoca, è stata organizzata in cinque stanze con un’unica area tematica dedicata alla vita nel Medioevo ( dal Trecento al Quattrocento). Con documenti, grafici, cartine, ricostruzioni grafiche della vita dell’epoca, mezzi multimediali si attraversano le stanze con diversi argomenti.

PIANO PRIMO
Stanza multimediale: è proposto un video con animazioni in 3D della Rocca nella sua ricostruzione.

PIANO SECONDO
Stanza delle tecnologie costruttive: sono presenti le tecniche, le tecnologie del medioevo di costruzione di rocche, castelli o edifici pubblici. Stanza delle comunicazioni e illustrazioni: dedicata ai criteri dell’epoca, nelle strategie militari, organizzative, e alla comunicazione con i diversi riferimenti tra i vari castelli nella zona.

PIANO TERZO
Stanza dell’assedio: questa stanza è rivolta alle tecniche militari di assedio. Stanza del libro: la vita medioevale e le sue mitologie. Un “libro parlante”, da sfogliare virtualmente, presenta i momenti salienti del Medioevo legati alle vicende della Rocca Viscontea.

The town Castell’Arquato in the Piacenza province is famous for its ancient medieval hamlet. In the upper part the Visconti fortress dominates the landscape. Towards the end of the nineties a restructuration was completed, permitting recuperation of the walls and the space inside was used to become a multi-medial didactic exhibition area about life in the Middle Ages.

ROCCA VISCONTEA (fortress) and EXHIBITION AREA
For the fortress, a new layout for the walls and for the internal spaces was completed. Once used by a military garrison, the fortress with its drawbridge and moat has seen many mutations. The internal part, empty with no relics, has been organized into five rooms with a single thematic area dedicated to the Middle Ages (from 1300-1400). The visitor can view documents, graphs, maps and graphic reconstructions of life as it was then via multi medial features illustrating different themes

FIRST FLOOR
Multi medial room: an animated 3D video of the fortress and its reconstruction.

SECOND FLOOR
Construction technology room: the techniques and technology of the Middle Ages used for building forts, castles and public buildings. Communication and illustration room: dedicated to the criteria of the times in military strategy and organization and communications with various references between castles in the area.

THIRD FLOOR
Siege room: this room is dedicated to military techniques used in sieges. Book room: life in the Middle Ages and its mythology. A “talking book” to leaf through virtually that presents important moments in the Middle Ages connected to things of the Visconti fortress.
